Working at Raute

I am a mechanical engineer in the engineering department in Raute Shanghai. My working at Raute started with training period of designing programs and procedures. My main task is to design machines based on head designer's specifications and requirements. We are working in designing team with seven other engineers and we are like a family. I have learnt a lot from my experienced colleagues. The most important thing for our team is that we can supply our machines quickly and satisfy customers' needs.

As a project manager I am responsible for customer satisfaction and project profitability. Co-operation with project team and customer in global environment is always interesting -there are no two similar projects. In addition to project manager's tasks I work in account manager's role. Both the tasks are about long-term co-operation and interaction with customers in order to understand customer needs and find profitable solutions. Our account management operation model gives a good and clear policy for my work.

I came to Raute in 1969, thus I have seen on long period of Raute's history. I have work as mechanic in Nastolas's mill and as a supervisor in numerous of projects abroad. My work has driven me to different continent and countries, Asia being the most interesting area. Filling the customer needs, whatever it takes, has always been on top priority. Having a long experience I have become an "all-around-workman". I am glad to share my experience and competence and mentor the younger ones.
